<Noise Cancelling>은 <Snare>, <Calendar>, <Me Out>, <Noisy Interlude>, <Noise Cancelling>, <Walking Wounded> 총 6개 트랙의 뮤직비디오로 구성된 <The Pathetic Rhymes>의 후속 작품이다.
노이즈캔슬링은 외부의 소음을 녹음한 후 그것을 상쇄하는 음파를 발생해 조용한 상태를 만드는 기술이다. 이 작품은 이러한 개념을 차용해 작가로서 경험하는 일상의 어려움이나 부조리에 적극적으로 저항함으로써 차분하고 즐거운 상태를 연출하고자 한다. 전작이 무기력감이나 패배감이 주된 작품이었다면 이 작품은 좀더 적극적으로 이것에 반응하고 더 나은 현실을 만들기 위한 모색이다.
<Noise Cancelling> is a video track, following-up to <The Pathetic Rhymes>, which consists of a total of six music videos including <Snare>, <Calendar>, <Me Out>, <Noisy Interlude>, <Noise Cancelling>, and <Walking Wound>.
Noise cancelling is a technique that produces sound waves that offset outside noise and creates a quiet state. By appropriating these concepts, this work tries to create a calm and pleasant state by actively resisting the daily difficulties or absurdities experienced as an artist. While the previous work was mainly about lethargy or defeat, it is more active in responding to this and seeking to create a better life.

나는 일상 속 대상을 통해 사유 가능한 이미지의 유통 방식과 가치 체계에 대한 변화에 관심을 가지며, 작업과 전시를 통해 이러한 일상적 사물의 기능을 비평적 사물로서 변주해 제시하는 방법을 연구한다고 소개하지만, 취미로 하는 랩의 비중이 점점 커지고 있으며, 힙합 음악과 전시 공간 사이의 관계를 재구성하여 미술과 일상을 둘러싼 생산적인 논의거리를 만들고자 한다.
